GMC yukon av GMT800 serien är en utmärkt SUV för dig som vill ha en stor 4X4 till hyfsat pris. Det kan dock finnas lite småfix på de flesta. Priserna på delar är ganska låga om inte låga för det finns en myriad tredjepartsdelar från USA. Kusiner till denna är Chevrolet Tahoe eller Cadillac escalade och de kan i stor utsträckning ha samma delar.
Familjen åker bra i denna SUV, även med mycket packning.
Den har allt i 4X4 väg som man kan önska, men se upp med optionskoderna. Du vill gärna ha en heavy duty kylning till växellådan, stora AC:n, och Z71 off-road optionen (lite stadigare dämpare och stag) samt skyddsplåtar under om du vill köra i skogen. Lite extra godis är om du får tag på en med limited slip differential.
GMC brukar anses vara lite "finare" än Chevrolet Tahoe och personligen föredrar jag den över Cadillacen som brukar ha auto 4X4 (eller 4WD) som inte går att ändra till 2H eller 4L.
Den ger mycket glädje för investeringen, men ska du pendla till jobbet i den lär bränsleförbrukningen blir ett issue förr eller senare. Den dricker som en kalv i stan, men cruisar ganska fint i 100 km/h. Bästa fart är c:a 90 km/h.
